Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 Movie Review

Introduction
Yamla Pagla Deewan is the Punjabi Bollywood masala film, star-casted by Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Neha Shrama, Kristina Akhevaand, Johney Lever and Anupam Kher and directed by Sangeet Sivan.

Story line
The role of Dharam is played by Dharmendra who is a con man and makes his livelihood with his younger son Gajodhar whose role is played by Bobby Deol in the city of Varanasi. His elder son Paramveer whose role is played by Sunny Deol lives in UK. As the movie opens, it is shown that Paramveer has undying faith in Almighty and he is really a one army man who can take on an entire mob at a time. But Dharam and Gajodhar like to con people despite the fact that Paramveer fully supports them financially.

These two con people lay a trap in order to trap Sir Yograj Khanna who is a UK based businessman and comes all the way to India to seek the blessings of Yamla Baba (Dharmendra). Also he brings his beautiful daughter Suman, whose role is played by Neha Sharma. The girl is a diehard fan of Salman Khan and Dharam urges Gajodhar to impress Suman and make their visit to UK.

But when the father son duo reaches there, they realize that they have come across a very big trouble as they were barely aware that Paramveer works for Khanna and with this the film proceeds further.

Performances
The script proved to be a complete disaster but the Deols are very impressive though their magic could do only a little job to lift up the fate of the film. The debutant, Kristina Akheeva and Neha Sharma have done a really nice job. Other actors come in a role that is hard to imagine. The film maker addressed the movie as over the top comedy prior to the release of the movie. But the script has led the movie into non-sensibility. In any case, something has gone wrong somewhere.

What’s good?
Dabbang Khan’s mannerisms and demeanour is the spice added right to the taste of the film. Also there is an Orang-utan whose revelry does tickle you right.

What’s bad?
The main flaw of the movie is with the script where the story of the con diversifies and finally there is not a particular plot that the film is working upon. The spectators must take a loo break between the movie. It is really required.

Watch or not?
The movie Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is nothing like its prequel. The film fails to sustain the comedy in the film. The excitement seemed to be beating around the bush making it too much stretched which was making the movie intolerable. The movie barely managed to squeeze out the laugh from the people. In the end, it was a slackened unimpressive show. So it’s better to miss the show.
The last word

The humour and action fails to trap the audiences. Sunny Deol is the only satisfying element in the film. The star rating of the film is 2 out of 5.
